Admissions Process

Admissions Statement

Heritage School of Texas welcomes you to its admissions process. Heritage invites you to become acquainted with the school through its school publications, a visit to the campus, and/or a conversation with a member of the administration.

The goal of the Admissions Committee at Heritage School of Texas is to bring together a student body which can best grow spiritually, intellectually, and physically. Each candidate’s academic potential, scholastic profile, and character development will be taken into consideration. The Admissions Committee will seek to make each admissions decision based on what is best for the child and for the school. Because of the magnitude and importance of its task, the Committee’s independence and integrity will be guarded.

The steps in the admissions process are outlined below, ALL GRADES:

1. ADMISSIONS DECISIONS:

  • Admission decisions are made on a rolling basis.
  • Decision letters will be emailed once the application is complete and has been evaluated by the administration.

2. FINANCIAL AID FOR STUDENTS, ALL GRADES:

  • All admissions decisions are made independently of a family’s request for financial aid. Students receiving financial aid are expected to meet the academic profile and behavioral standards of Heritage. Financial aid is available for grades 1-8, and is granted on the basis of need and availability of funds. Each family’s “need” is determined by a Report submitted to Heritage from FACTS Grantee Assessment after it has reviewed the parent’s applicable financial data, including the past years recent federal income tax return. The Executive board will then evaluate available funds and use this 3rd party assessment to determine the amount of financial aid offered for the current school year. All financial aid determinations are at the sole discretion of the Executive Board of Trustees.
  • Submit an electronic copy of your child’s most recent psycho-educational evaluation when you complete the Online Admissions Application.
  • $150 Application Fee (Non-Refundable) payable online by credit card.
  • Electronic copy of certified birth certificate (Upload at the end of the online application).
  • Photo of family (Upload at the end of the online application).
  • Electronic copy of a current immunization record (Upload at the end of the online application).
  • Pyscho-educational evaluation, dated within the past three years (Upload at the end of the online application).

4. STUDENT OBSERVATION:

  • Upon submission and review of a completed application, select applicants will be invited to a student observation day on campus. The Admissions Committee reviews diagnostic testing and the admissions application prior to scheduling. Due to the high volume of applications, not all applicants will be invited to participate in a school visit.

5. ADMISSIONS TESTING:

  • In addition to the student observation day, select applicants will complete a full battery of admissions testing scheduled through the Admissions Committee.
