Heritage is currently accepting applications for a variety of positions for the 2026-2027 school year. First, please email your resumé and cover letter to Head of School, Gail Holman, at gail@heritagestx.org. Once resumé and cover letter are received, candidates will be instructed to complete the online Employment Application.

Education

Teacher Education

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Two years of teaching experience are strongly preferred, with exceptions granted for outstanding candidates with demonstrated teaching gifts and call
  • Teacher Certification required
  • Academic Language Therapy training preferred, but not required
  • Ability to teach well, as demonstrated by references required
  • Mastery of subject matters to be taught, as demonstrated by references, education, and student achievement

Personal Qualities

  • Credible profession of repentance and faith in Jesus Christ
  • Godly character (pastoral and other character references may be required)

Teaching Applicants

In order to be hired by Heritage for a teaching position, you must have at least one degree at the Bachelor’s level or above.  In addition, one of the three requirements listed below must be met.
1) You must have a current state teaching certificate in the subject area or grade level, which you would be teaching.  Your Certification may come from any state, NOT just Texas.
OR
2) You must have a degree/major in the subject area of grade level, which you would be teaching.
OR
3) If you are not certified and do not have a degree/major in the teaching area in which you are interested, you may apply.  However, you must have other teaching and/or related experiences, which qualify you for the position along with a degree at the Bachelor’s level or above.
